Personality: Melinda definately isn't your average young woman. For one thing, she has quite an unusual ability. Since the time she was a little girl, she has been able to see and speak to ghosts. The dead who have not 'moved on' because they have unfinished buisness. Taught by her grandmother, who also had the same ability, Melinda has learned to use her gift to help others; to pass on messages from the dead and help these ghosts move on. At first, when she was younger and didn't understand, her ability to do this frightened her. But Melinda has grown to know that she has responsibilities, whether she likes it or not. Although she has kept her gift a secret for her own sake, only telling people about it if absolutely nessecary, she has grown to accept it, and even love it. Over the years, this ability has become a part of her. Admittedly, it has gotten her into a few tight spots
